Indian soup “Dal” (Dhal)

1. Mash peas - 250 g
2. Onion - 1 pc
3. Tomatoes - 1 pc
4. Butter - 1 tbsp.
5. Seasoning "Curry Masala" from the line "Tastes of the World" "Lubystok" - 1 tsp
6. Garlic - 1 tooth.
7. Turmeric ground - 0.5 tsp.
8. Ginger root - 1 tsp.
9. Salt, ground pepper - to taste


  1. Pour mash peas with two glasses of water. It should swell. Put peas on medium heat, bring to a boil. Next, close the pan with a lid, keep the heat to a minimum and cook for another 30 – 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Dice tomatoes, onions. Grate garlic and ginger root.
  3. Fry the onion in butter in a frying pan until translucent, then add chopped tomatoes and grated garlic and ginger root. Add the “Curry masala” seasoning from the line “Tastes of the World”, ground turmeric of the Trading House “Lubystok” and salt to taste. All this is extinguished on low heat under the lid for about 20 minutes.
  4. Boil 1.5 cups of hot water. This water should be added when the mash peas are completely boiled. The thicker the soup, the richer and tastier it will be.
  5. Add the stewed dressing to the mash peas and mix. Beat a little with a blender and cook for another 10 minutes on low heat. After turning off the gas stove, allow to infuse the finished soup “Dal” (Dhal) for another 15 minutes, then serve.
